THE 15TH INTERNATIONAL YOUTH PIANO COMPETITION

Over 14 successful years, the youth piano competition has developed into a competition of international renown.
In 2020, it will take place for the 15th time in the Great Hall of EVONIK Industries AG in Essen.
The contest will run from 18. until the 20. September 2020.

The composer Ludwig van Beethoven is the focus of this year‘s competition.

Unfortunately, the 2020 prize winners‘ concert cannot take place due to the current developments in relation to the corona pandemic.

„We are looking for the best and for the best to find us.“ (Jürgen Lamprecht, initiator of the competition)
„After winning a prize at this competition, this is something you often see
quoted in the Vita.“ (Manja Lippert, juror)
